Every wrestler who’s serious about pushing their limits and reaching their full potential is a Nomad Wrestler. You’re part of a community that chases excellence wherever it leads, never settling, always seeking. Embrace the journey, because greatness knows no boundaries.

Drew Phillips started wrestling in 3rd Grade in McHenry, IL…
What makes Drew story interesting is his size. At 9 years old he was 5’2” and 127 lbs. By the time he turned 11, he was 144 lbs and 5’6”. So, seeking out new wrestling rooms and partners off-season anywhere near his age was almost impossible. Being a relative beginner who wasn’t an advanced wrestler, that was incredibly hard. He learned to take his lumps versus much older, much more experienced partners. He learned the value of a good partner and how to work hard. He learned how to get his butt kicked and come back for more. He walked back into rooms with coaches who overlooked him over and over and over after wrestling kids twice his age, twice his experience and figured out how to take the good, leave the bad, learn, and get better. There aren’t many youth wrestlers who can handle that type of grind and come away wanting more.

“Once you’ve wrestled, everything else is easy.”
—Dan Gable
